• Audacity (not necessarily Web 2.0 but a favorite for creating podcasts) - Audacity® is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds
• VoiceThread - A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or phone),

                         text, audio file, or video (via a webcam).

• Jing - The concept of Jing is the always-ready program that instantly captures and shares images and video…from your computer to anywhere.
• Animoto for Education - Takes just minutes to create a video. Bring your lessons to life. Post/embed videos elsewhere or download them for in-class presentations!
• Collection of Podcasts from NPR - this is a nice source of podcasts from NPR.  This will give you a nice sampling.
• Samples from PBS - this is the source of podcasts from PBS.  Take a look, or listen.

• Intel® Education Free Tools and Resources - Intel offers free, easily integrated tools and teaching resources to support collaborative student-centered learning.

• Thinkfinity - Thinkfinity.org makes it easy for educators to enhance their classroom instruction with lesson plans, interactive activities and other online resources. Thinkfinity.org also provides a wealth of educational and literacy resources for students, parents and after-school programs

• Curriki - the online education community, is building the first website to offer free, open-source instructional materials
• Librivox - provides free audiobooks from the public domain.
• Xtimeline - This is a great visual way to connect with what you've been doing over a period of time; you can add images and tag each entry with appropriate keywords in order to better find it on your timeline. Once you make a timeline, you can embed it on your site or pass around your timeline's URL to friends.
