Technology Instruction

About Me:  My name is Daniel J. Garcia.  I have taught for the past eleven years.  I started teaching in the San Luis Valley (Alamosa, CO) for my first two years of teaching at the school I attended since I was five years old.  My mom also taught at this school so I was never able to misbehave in fear of my mom's wrath.  This experience gave me the drive to further my teaching and learning career.

My partner Jon and I live in Lowry with our three wonderful dogs (Kiki, Sadie, and Sir William).  They are the best dogs ever.  We are also in the process of becoming permanent parents to a brilliant son named Benjamin.  Parenthood can be a challenge but with each day comes a new blessing.  I have discovered how great and precious life is.  I will teach our son to live with the same mentality.

Professional Experience:   I received my B. A. from Adams State College in 1997, my M. A. from University from Colorado at Denver in 2004, my Principal's License in 2008, and am currently working on my Ph. D in Administration here at DU.  I have taught in Cherry Creek and Denver Public School Districts.  I am currently in Jeffco.  I plan on working in Jeffco for the duration of my education career. I plan on being a principal for many years, however, my heart will always be in the classroom.

Action Plan:  My intention(s) is to help motivate my teaching staff to integrate technology into their lesson plans and teaching on a daily basis with their students.
