Tools for Digital Leaders 

 

Learning and Discussing Through Ranking

 

The tool used in this activity provides a framework to examine beliefs and behaviors that model and support effective technology as a tool for productivity and learning.

 

The Visual Ranking Tool is a free tool provided by the IntelĀ® Education Initiative (www.intel.com/education).

 

Questions:

  • How will you, as a leader and facilitator, help others focus on a vision that improves student achievement and facilitates continuous professional growth?
  • What are the necessary conditions to effectively leverage technology for learning?

Step 1: Complete the Essential Conditions Worksheet

 

Step 2: Go to the Student Log-in page for the Visual Ranking Tool

 

Step 3: Login using the following Teacher ID: danmorris - and the Team ID given you.  (NOTE: your Team ID and Password will be the same)

 

Step 4: Complete the ranking of the essential conditions based on the prompt and your assigned role.

 

Step 5: Compare your ranking with that of other groups or with the person setting next to you.

 

Step 6: Why your rankings may different from other groups

 

Step 7: Re-rank the essential conditions but this time rank them based on where you think your school needs to start to effectively integrate technology into the classroom. (Focus on the top 6)
